What will you do as a Staff Accountant at one of IES Communications' Arizona Branches?

In our Arizona branches, our Senior Staff Accountants and Staff Accountants play crucial roles in maintaining the financial integrity of IES. Our Senior Staff Accountants are tasked with ensuring all financial records adhere to Sarbanes-Oxley and company policies, meeting reporting deadlines, and managing a comprehensive set of duties including journal entries, reconciliations, and fixed assets accounting. They also establish control procedures for both Fixed Assets and Leases while handling sensitive information with discretion. On the other hand, our Staff Accountants focus on processing weekly and monthly journal entries, assisting with month-end close, maintaining balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting various accounting tasks such as intercompany transactions and accrual records. Both teams work closely together, embodying self-sufficiency and multitasking capabilities, to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis across our operations in Arizona.
