Our branch in Folsom has a team of dedicated employees, including a Purchasing Specialist. This role involves entering purchasing information into the accounting system and ensuring accurate GL codes and project numbers are assigned. The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for ordering and accounting for materials used on job sites. They also research and resolve Invoice/PO discrepancies, coordinate returns and credit memos, and assist with processing vendor returns by adjusting purchase orders as required. Additionally, they prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications and price, obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items, and obtaining approval from the appropriate manager when necessary. The Purchasing Specialist also enters inventory, material, and labor transfers into the accounting system, self-manages their workload distribution, and serves as a back-up for the front desk.
