What duties do our System Development employees do at our IES Communications' Los Angeles Branch?
The Director of System Development in Los Angeles is responsible for overseeing all technology operations and evaluating them according to established goals. They devise and establish policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management, analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs, and provide support for existing systems as needed. They also identify the need for upgrades or new systems and report to upper management, build a network of peers with knowledge of our ERP solution, and maintain strong relationships with key leaders across the organization. Additionally, they communicate with and influence internal and external stakeholders regarding key project objectives, align technology solutions with business strategies, and analyze performance results to identify bottlenecks and suggest optimizations. Other responsibilities include observing, evaluating, and documenting existing business processes and requirements, providing support to users and troubleshooting application and business process issues, and leading project teams to deliver project success. They also make policy recommendations and plans in line with the Strategic IT plan and business requirements, identify and mitigate potential problems and conflicts with development delivery, and seek opportunities to enhance and streamline processes.
