What will you do as a Data Center Technician at our IES Communications' San Jose Branch?
In our San Jose branch, we have a dedicated team of Data Center Technicians across various levels, each playing a crucial role in maintaining the operational excellence of our data centers. From Level I to Lead Data Center Technician, our staff is adept at handling everything from scheduled Moves/Adds/Changes (MACs) and hardware installations to asset management and ensuring compliance with security protocols. Our technicians are skilled in both copper and fiber infrastructure installation and testing, as well as in utilizing data center productivity tools and software like Windows, Linux, SSH, RDP, and Putty. They also provide smart-hands assistance within specified SLA response times, including on-call duties as needed. Ensuring a safe and secure operating environment, detailed documentation, site security adherence, and efficient coordination of equipment/material receiving, shipping, and RMA processing support are key responsibilities across all levels. Additionally, our Lead Technicians take on more strategic tasks such as coordinating MACs based on set schedules, troubleshooting, and contributing to data center expansion plans, always aiming for optimal service availability, performance, and capacity utilization. At every level, our team's commitment to maintaining rigorous standards of operation ensures the highest quality of service for our clients.
