What will you do as an Estimator at our IES Communications' San Jose Branch?
At our San Jose branch, we're proud of our dedicated team that encompasses roles from Estimators to Lead Estimators and includes a vital position for a Project Cost Estimator Intern. Each member plays a crucial role in project engineering, material selection, and labor estimating while ensuring our bids meet the customer and company's quality and safety standards. Our estimators, including those at Level II, are instrumental in developing detailed cost estimates in response to bid specifications, acting as liaisons among sales, project management, and operations teams, and monitoring the alignment between sales prices and actual installation costs. They work closely with vendors to secure competitive pricing and optimal lead times, attending site walks and pre-bid meetings to gather essential information for accurate forecasting. The Lead Estimator goes a step further by managing the workflow within the estimating team, providing mentorship, and driving continuous improvement processes. Meanwhile, our Project Cost Estimator Intern gains hands-on experience in all these areas, contributing significantly to our project success. Together, our team ensures every detail is accounted for, from initial estimates to final project turnover, embodying our commitment to excellence and client satisfaction here in San Jose.
