What duties do our Virtual Design and Construction employees do at our IES Communications' San Jose Branch?
Our San Jose branch is currently seeking a Director of Virtual Design and Construction who will be responsible for developing processes, infrastructure, and teams to manage the use of Virtual Design & Construction models for construction projects. They will also oversee the coordination of Building Information Modeling (BIM) instructions and facilitate regular BIM coordination. Additionally, we are looking for a Virtual Design and Construction Field Detailer who will interface with field construction personnel to coordinate installations using Navisworks and/or shop drawings. They will also audit installations for accuracy and maintain documentation of each project. Furthermore, we are seeking a Virtual Design and Construction Manager who will recruit, train, and manage the VDC team, as well as develop VDC standards and best practices. They will also manage VDC projects and troubleshoot any technology issues. Lastly, we are looking for a Virtual Design and Construction Project Coordinator who will assist with project scheduling, coordinate weekly updates, and track program-level metrics. They will also review drawings for quality assurance and act as the first point of contact for the CAD team.
