What duties do our Sales employees do at our IES Communications' Santa Clara Branch?

The Sales Tax Compliance Specialist in our Santa Clara branch is responsible for providing support to internal customers regarding tax-related issues. They review tax certificates and packages for accuracy and completeness, and conduct tax research to interpret and apply tax rules. They also work with Contract Admin to ensure sales tax application compliance and act as a liaison between the tax department and external vendors. Additionally, they stay updated on changes in tax legislation and conduct strategic audits/refunds to recover sales/use tax exposure amounts. They handle specific tax questions from Operations and Sales and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce tax exposure. They also participate in tax compliance migrations for new systems.
