What will you do as a System Administrator at our IES Communications' Aurora Branch?
As a Junior System Administrator in our Aurora branch, your responsibilities will include installing, configuring, and maintaining computers, networks, and related hardware and software, as well as assisting IT Technicians in preparing devices for end users. You will also provide first and second level telephone support and problem resolution, identify and resolve computer system malfunctions, and perform diagnostics of systems issues. Additionally, you will provide support to the IT team and offer remote IT support with remote control software. Hardware supported will include Dell and Cisco servers, Lenovo and Dell desktops and laptops, Canon printers, various copiers, and Cisco network equipment. You will also be responsible for providing users with network, PC, and software technical support, maintaining server and endpoint protection, backups, updates, and other maintenance, and participating and contributing to IT-related projects when necessary.
Similarly, as a System Administrator in our Aurora branch, you will ensure that company standards, policies, and procedures are being followed, install, configure, and maintain computers, networks, and related hardware and software, and assist Helpdesk Administrators in preparing devices for end users. You will also provide second and third level telephone support and problem resolution, identify and resolve computer system malfunctions, and perform diagnostics of network issues. Additionally, you will provide support to the IT team, offer remote IT support with remote control software, and configure network devices for new deployments per direction of senior staff. Hardware supported will include Lenovo servers, Lenovo and Dell desktops and laptops, HP printers, various copiers, and various network equipment. You will also be responsible for providing users with network, PC, and software technical support, responding to needs and questions of users concerning their access of network resources, performing network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems, and assisting with the administration and maintenance of IP based telephony systems. Other responsibilities will be assigned as needed.
