The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial records in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and company policies, meeting financial reporting deadlines, reconciling fixed assets and general ledger accounts, and preparing accounting records for month-end closing. They also establish inventory and lease control procedures, resolve accounting discrepancies, and assist with tax and audit-related tasks. The Staff Accountant, on the other hand, handles journal entries, assists with month-end close and financial reporting, reconciles balance sheet accounts, prepares management reports, and supports team members on accounting issues. They also handle intercompany transactions, perform financial analysis, maintain fixed asset records, and handle other assigned responsibilities.
