What duties do our System Development employees do at our IES Communications' Colorado Springs Branch?

As employees of our branch in Colorado Springs, the Director of System Development plays a crucial role in overseeing all technology operations and evaluating them according to established goals. They are responsible for devising and establishing policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management. Additionally, they analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs and provide support for existing systems as needed. They also identify the need for upgrades or new systems and report to upper management, while building a network of peers with knowledge of our ERP solution and maintaining strong relationships with key leaders across the organization. They communicate with and influence internal and external stakeholders regarding key project objectives to ensure buy-in, align technology solutions with business strategies, and represent the development vision to the business. They analyze performance results, observe and evaluate existing business processes and requirements, provide support to users, and assist with troubleshooting application and business process issues. They also lead project teams, drive accountability, set project objectives, and monitor projects from initiation through delivery for continuous improvement. They make policy recommendations and plans in line with the Strategic IT plan and business requirements, identify and mitigate potential problems and conflicts with development delivery, and seek opportunities to enhance and streamline processes.
