What will you do as a Data Center Technician at our IES Communications' Washington Branch?

In our Washington branch, our dedicated Data Center Technicians across Levels I to III and Lead positions play a crucial role in maintaining the operational excellence of our data centers. They are responsible for executing all scheduled moves, adds, changes (MACs), and deletions with precision, ensuring hardware installations, power and network connectivity, and compliance with security protocols. Our team excels in asset management, auditing, providing smart-hands assistance within specified SLA response times, and upholding site security and data protection procedures. They possess strong knowledge of server and network components, infrastructure installation, and data center management tools, contributing to equipment/material logistics, vendor coordination, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. With their commitment to detailed documentation, process improvement, and emergency preparedness, they ensure our data center services remain available, performant, and secure, embodying our dedication to quality and customer satisfaction.
