What will you do as an Estimator at our IES Communications' Washington Branch?

In our Washington branch, we have a cohesive team of estimators and interns working across various levels to ensure the seamless execution of projects from conception to completion. Our Estimators and Estimator Level II professionals are deeply involved in project engineering, material selection, labor estimating, and developing detailed cost estimates in line with bid specifications. They play a crucial role as liaisons among sales, project management, and operations teams, ensuring alignment between sales prices and actual installation costs while adhering to strict timelines and company guidelines for vendor and product selection. The Project Cost Estimator Interns contribute by conducting site walks for new estimates and ongoing projects, aiding in change orders, and progress updates, under the guidance of established protocols to meet quality and safety standards. Leading this dynamic group, our Lead Estimators manage workflow, mentor designers and estimators, and drive continuous improvement within the department. They hold a pivotal position in maintaining client relationships, overseeing project deliverables, financial performance, and fostering a collaborative environment that upholds the highest level of service excellence.
