What will you do as a Technical Writer at our IES Communications' Washington Branch?

As a Technical Writer at our branch in Washington, your duties will include performing documentation project planning in collaboration with the Process Manager, ensuring the creation of detailed authoring review/release plans and documentation plans. You will gather information from process development teams and subject matter experts to develop and implement technical documents during process development or revisions phases. Additionally, you will design, develop, test, and maintain documentation while adhering to corporate guidelines, documentation standards, and templates. You will also interact with process development teams to create, review, approve, and publish documentation, providing guidance and direction as needed. Furthermore, you will communicate effectively with process teams and designated department personnel throughout the documentation development and publishing process, while also ensuring the monitoring and evaluation of published documentation. Lastly, you will assist in improving existing documentation practices.
