What duties do our Warehouse employees do at our IES Communications' Suwanee Branch?
In Suwanee, the Fabrication Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing the profit and loss (P&L) of the warehouse. They forecast and manage staffing needs, develop and manage internal orders, ensure safety and quality standards are met, and forecast capital expenditures for tooling needs. They also coordinate deliverables with the Operations teams, develop a CAD/BIM program to support installation needs, manage installation schedules using Gantt charts, and maintain tooling and inventory management. Additionally, they develop an effective national logistical delivery plan and handle other assigned responsibilities. The Materials Operation Specialist is responsible for packaging, labeling, and tagging warehouse inventory. They complete daily activities such as receiving, shipping, stocking, auditing, and issuing materials, as well as conducting cycle-counts and managing the daily log. They enter material into the IES Inventory database, load and unload goods and supplies, and maintain the warehouse facility. They also track damaged inventory, operate forklifts and company vehicles, and work in accordance with 5S organization and Lean principles. The Warehouse Assistant performs similar duties to the Materials Operation Specialist, including packaging, labeling, and tagging inventory, completing daily activities, conducting cycle-counts, and managing the daily log. They also enter material into the IES Inventory database, load and unload goods and supplies, and maintain warehouse quality. They may operate forklifts and company vehicles, work in accordance with 5S organization and Lean principles, and efficiently carry out all task assignments. The Warehouse Assistant also completes other assigned responsibilities. The Warehouse team in Suwanee receives, inspects, and stores incoming warehouse goods and materials. They accurately pick, pack, and dispatch orders for delivery or pickup, operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks in accordance with safety guidelines. They maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment and conduct inventory counts, reporting any discrepancies to the supervisor.
