What will you do as a Purchasing Administrator at our IES Communications' Altoona Branch?

As our employees in Altoona, our Purchasing Administrators are responsible for entering purchasing information into the accounting system, ensuring accurate GL codes, project numbers, and sales tax percentages are assigned. They verify proper approvals based on DOA guidelines, prepare and submit orders to vendors, and receive order confirmations. Additionally, they validate whether materials are taxable and diligently research and resolve any invoice or purchase order discrepancies. They also coordinate returns and credit memos and assist in processing vendor returns by adjusting purchase orders as necessary. Our Purchasing Administrators are self-managing and efficiently handle their assigned workload, while also completing any other responsibilities as assigned.
