What duties do our Warehouse employees do at our IES Communications' Altoona Branch?
At our branch in Altoona, the Fabrication Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing the profit and loss (P&L) of the warehouse. They forecast and manage staffing needs, develop and manage internal orders, and ensure safety, quality, and tooling needs are met. They also forecast capital expenditure (Capex) for tooling needs and coordinate deliverables with the Operation teams. Additionally, they develop a CAD/BIM program to support installation needs, manage installation schedules, and maintain tooling and inventory management. The Materials Operation Specialist is responsible for packaging, labeling, and tagging warehouse inventory, as well as completing daily activities such as receiving, shipping, stocking, and auditing materials. They conduct cycle-counts of inventory, enter material into the inventory database, and maintain the warehouse facility. They also ensure proper handling of goods and supplies, maintain warehouse quality, and operate forklifts and company vehicles. The Warehouse Assistant has similar responsibilities to the Materials Operation Specialist, including packaging, labeling, and logging inventory, as well as conducting cycle-counts and maintaining warehouse quality. They may also operate forklifts and company vehicles, and work in accordance with 5S organization and Lean principles.
