At our branch in Ankeny, we have three job positions related to project cost analysis. The Project Cost Analyst (PCA) is responsible for planning, managing, and monitoring project profitability. They work closely with project accounting to ensure accurate cost posting and handle all project cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition. The PCA also prepares budget and financial forecasts, reports variances, and supports the month-end and year-end close process. Additionally, they collaborate with project personnel to prepare project reporting and implement account process improvements. The Project Cost Analyst Manager has similar responsibilities but also oversees the recruitment, training, and management of staff. They provide guidance and mentoring to meet customer and company goals. The Project Cost Supervisor (PCS) supervises a team of 1-2 Project Cost Analysts and assists in creating and revising job audit review processes. They attend and lead review meetings, train new PCAs, and implement strategies to reduce underbilling. The PCS also ensures compliance with job cost, billing, and change orders, and collaborates with project personnel to prepare project reporting.
