What will you do as a Project Coordinator at our IES Communications' Cedar Rapids Branch?

As employees in our Cedar Rapids branch, our Project Coordinators play a crucial role in ensuring effective communication and cooperation with the Project Manager and other team members. They are responsible for preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring weekly updates, as well as managing workload distribution and monitoring customer delivery and job installation progress. They review and upload test results daily with the Testing Administrator and physically measure rooms to ensure they adhere to specifications for generating complete as-builds. Additionally, they handle various project engineering tasks related to schedule maintenance, such as change order management, subcontractor coordination, and schedule updates. Project Coordinators also collaborate with Project Management and Leads/Superintendents to create and maintain a project implementation calendar. They must be able to work independently, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and maintain confidentiality. Other responsibilities include assisting the program accounting department by spot checking labor, material, other-expenses, and subcontractor costs for monthly program reports, analyzing cost and resource graphs to verify schedule progress or identify issues, and tracking program level billing, reporting, and metrics. Proficiency in creating, correcting, and revising complex Excel spreadsheets, tables, charts, and graphs is required. Project Coordinators also perform reporting audits for accuracy and overall delivery, maintain program level dashboards, input, data acquisition, and collection, and provide all necessary elements to the Project Manager for issuing weekly/monthly reports. They may be assigned periodic changes in duties upon request and are expected to assist and participate in project closeout activities.
