What duties do our Payroll employees do at our IES Communications' Charlotte Branch?
As a Payroll Compliance Analyst and Auditor at our branch in Charlotte, your duties will include reviewing time and attendance reports on a daily basis to identify errors and exceptions to policy. You will also conduct a thorough review of Lunch/Break Penalty Hours and ensure accurate project coding and labor hour allocation, while maintaining compliance with project coding standards. Collaborating with managers, you will work towards correcting identified errors and promoting a culture of adherence to Time and Attendance policies. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining progress reports, providing recurring reporting to Company Leadership, and communicating and collaborating with multiple departments and team members to ensure program success. Other duties as assigned. As a Senior Payroll Specialist, your role will involve processing data entry for multi-state payroll for over 2500 employees, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws. You will handle employee and business partner queries related to HR, Finance, and Tax, and analyze and process off-cycle pay, special payments, adjustments, and reversals. Manual garnishment calculations and maintenance will also be part of your responsibilities, along with compiling and distributing Certified Payroll reporting. Additionally, you will assist with monthly journal entries for payroll expense and accruals, and support month-end analysis and adjusting journal entries. Other responsibilities as assigned.
