Junior Network Administrators are responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining computers, networks, and related hardware and software. They assist IT Technicians in preparing devices for end users, provide first and second level telephone support, and identify and resolve computer system malfunctions. They also perform diagnostics of network issues and provide support to the IT team. On the other hand, Senior Network Administrators ensure that company standards, policies, and procedures are being followed. They have similar responsibilities to Junior Network Administrators but also assist Helpdesk Administrators, configure network devices, and assist with the administration and maintenance of IP based telephony systems. Both positions provide technical support to users and assist in server maintenance, among other responsibilities.
