What will you do as a Staff Accountant at our IES Communications' Las Cruces Branch?
As employees of our branch in Las Cruces, the Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and the Company's policies and procedures, meeting financial reporting deadlines, preparing journal entries and reconciling fixed assets and general ledger accounts, resolving accounting discrepancies, researching tax department inquiries, coordinating with auditors, managing workload distribution, and maintaining confidentiality. Additionally, they establish inventory and lease agreement processes and control procedures, update financial reporting, calculate commission accruals and field incentive payments, and handle other assigned responsibilities. The Staff Accountant, on the other hand, processes journal entries, assists with month-end close and financial reporting, reconciles balance sheet accounts, prepares management reports, supports audits, facilitates intercompany transactions, analyzes financial discrepancies, performs ad hoc analysis, maintains accrual and amortization records, handles fixed assets and depreciation, supports team members, and carries out other assigned duties.
