What will you do as an Infrastructure Technician at our IES Communications' Fernley Branch?
In our Fernley branch, the Infrastructure Technician and Infrastructure Technician Level II roles share a core set of responsibilities focused on the meticulous installation and maintenance of electrical conduit systems. These duties include measuring, cutting, bending, threading, assembling, and installing various types of conduits using an array of tools like rules, conduit benders, Chicago Benders, and Dual trigger bandsaws. Additionally, they are tasked with building closets, mounting and installing backboards, ensuring proper grounding for racks, equipment, and cables, as well as observing installed systems to identify any hazards or necessary adjustments. The Lead Infrastructure Technician, while sharing these fundamental tasks, takes on a more pivotal role by running major project crews, coordinating closely with Project Managers to ensure efficiency, compliance with budgets, and adherence to safety and quality guidelines. This position also emphasizes customer interaction, serving as the primary contact for on-site questions or concerns, thereby underscoring our commitment to excellence in service and technical proficiency at our Fernley location.
