As employees of our branch in Las Vegas, the Sales Tax Compliance Specialists are responsible for providing support to internal customers regarding tax-related issues. They review tax certificates and packages to ensure accuracy and completeness, conduct tax research, and interpret and apply tax rules. They collaborate with Contract Admin to review sales tax application for accuracy and policy compliance. Acting as a liaison between the tax department and external vendors, they stay updated on changes in tax legislation and identify opportunities for strategic audits and refunds. They handle specific tax inquiries from Operations and Sales, document and update compliance procedures, and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce tax exposure. Additionally, they participate in the sales and business licenses tax compliance segment of system migrations, following established guidelines for applying tax to transactions.
