What will you do as a Purchasing Specialist at our IES Communications' Reno Branch?
Our Purchasing Specialists in Reno are responsible for entering purchasing information into the accounting system, ensuring accurate GL codes and project numbers are assigned. They handle the ordering and accounting for materials used on job sites and are skilled in researching and resolving invoice and purchase order discrepancies. They also coordinate returns and credit memos, as well as assist with processing vendor returns by adjusting purchase orders as required. Additionally, they prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications and price, obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items, and obtaining approval from appropriate managers. Our Purchasing Specialists also enter inventory, material, and labor transfers into the accounting system and self-manage their assigned workload distribution.
