Our estimators, including those at Level II and our Lead Estimator, are tasked with providing comprehensive project engineering, selecting appropriate materials, and estimating labor costs. They meticulously write scopes of work and develop cost estimates in response to bid specifications. A key part of their role involves acting as liaisons among sales, project management, and operations teams once a project transitions to the installation phase. They ensure alignment between sales prices and actual installation costs while adhering to company guidelines for vendor and product selection. Working closely with vendors, they strive for the best solutions, competitive pricing, and proper lead times on materials. Accuracy in takeoffs and cost estimates is paramount, guided by the Company’s recommended solutions book and input from technical support personnel. Their commitment to meeting customer and company quality and safety standards is unwavering. Training sessions and review meetings on technical requirements are regular parts of their schedules, ensuring bids meet strict deadlines and turnover meetings cover all estimated project details comprehensively. The Lead Estimator additionally manages workflow within the estimating team, mentors staff, and fosters continuous improvement and efficiency in design and estimating processes. Project Cost Estimator Interns contribute significantly too, conducting site walks for new estimates and ongoing projects to identify change orders and progress updates. Across these roles, our focus remains on maintaining the highest levels of quality and safety, fostering effective teamwork, and achieving client satisfaction through meticulous planning and execution.
