What will you do as a Staff Accountant at our IES Communications' Cleveland Branch?
In Cleveland, the Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and company policies and procedures, meeting financial reporting deadlines, preparing journal entries, reconciling fixed assets and general ledger accounts, and assisting with month-end closing and analysis. They establish inventory and accounting control procedures for fixed assets, resolve accounting discrepancies, research tax department issues, and interface with auditors. The Senior Staff Accountant also self-manages workload, records expenses accurately, updates financial reporting, calculates commission accruals and field incentive payments, and handles other assigned tasks. The Staff Accountant, on the other hand, processes journal entries, assists with month-end close and financial reporting, maintains balance sheet reconciliations, prepares management reports, facilitates intercompany transactions, reconciles financial discrepancies, performs ad hoc analysis, posts job cost transfers, maintains accrual records and fixed asset system, supports team members, and handles other assigned responsibilities.
