What duties do our Warehouse employees do at our IES Communications' Portland Branch?
The Fabrication Warehouse Manager in our Portland branch is responsible for managing the profit and loss of the warehouse. They forecast and manage staffing needs, as well as develop and manage internal orders, safety protocols, quality control, and tooling needs. They also forecast capital expenditures for tooling and coordinate deliverables with the Operations teams. Additionally, they develop a VDC (CAD/BIM) program to support installation needs, manage installation schedules via Gantt chart, and maintain tooling and inventory management. They are also responsible for developing an effective national logistical delivery plan and carrying out other assigned responsibilities.
The Materials Operation Specialist in our Portland branch is responsible for packaging, labeling, and tagging warehouse inventory. They complete and log daily activities such as receiving, shipping, stocking, auditing, and issuing materials. They conduct cycle-counts of inventory, manage daily logs, and enter material into the IES Inventory database. They also load and unload goods and supplies, ensuring proper handling, and maintain the IES facility. They track all IES owned tools for the branch, report damaged inventory promptly, and work in accordance with 5S organization and Lean principles. They efficiently carry out all task assignments and fulfill other assigned duties.
