What will you do as an Infrastructure Technician at our IES Communications' Salem Branch?
In our Salem branch, our Infrastructure Technicians and Lead Infrastructure Technician play vital roles in ensuring the seamless operation and implementation of electrical systems. Our team members are skilled in measuring, cutting, bending, threading, assembling, and installing electrical conduit with precision tools such as rules, conduit benders, Chicago Benders, and dual trigger bandsaws. They take pride in building closets, mounting and installing backboards, and ensuring proper grounding for racks, equipment, and cable as required. Observing the functioning of installed equipment to identify potential hazards or needs for adjustment is a critical part of their duties. They possess the ability to fabricate and install various types of conduits including rigid & aluminum, E.M.T., plasti-bond, and P.V.C., utilizing mechanical and hydraulic benders for precise installations. Our technicians are responsible for installing raceway and cable tray systems, coordinating personnel, managing timelines to complete projects efficiently, and conducting quality and safety checks in adherence to company, customer, and industry standards. The Lead Infrastructure Technician, in addition to overseeing major project crews, ensures productivity, job completion within budget, conducts weekly safety meetings, and serves as the main on-site contact for customers, demonstrating an advanced level of technical knowledge and problem-solving skills. Across all levels, our team is committed to completing all necessary paperwork accurately and on time, contributing to the overall success and integrity of our projects at IES.
