What will you do as a Communications Technician at one of IES Communications' Texas Branches?

In Texas, our Communications Technicians and Lead Communications Technicians play crucial roles in ensuring the highest standards of service for our clients. At the foundational level, our Communications Technician I is tasked with installing work area outlets, routing cables through modular furniture, and performing pre-termination procedures to prepare for device termination, all while adhering to safety and quality regulations. Progressing to a Communications Technician II, responsibilities expand to include terminating CAT 3 & CAT 5 jacks, conducting continuity tests, and leading project crews to ensure timely completion and adherence to project budgets. Our Lead Communications Technicians take on a more strategic role, running major project crews, coordinating closely with Project Managers for productivity and compliance, and serving as the primary contact for on-site customer queries. At the pinnacle, our Senior Lead Communications Technician oversees human resource management within projects, ensures project profitability, manages job completion against customer requirements, and acts as the senior liaison with customers, embodying our commitment to excellence and effective communication at every level of operation in Texas.
