What will you do as a Field Engineer at one of IES Communications' Texas Branches?

At our Texas branches, our Field Engineers play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation and installation of complex systems. They are adept at troubleshooting equipment issues, managing technical work with minimal supervision, and providing advanced support to both field staff and project managers. This includes creating detailed shop drawings for new projects, overseeing quality checks, assisting sales teams with demonstrations, and ensuring project documentation is complete and accurate.

Our Fiber Distribution Cabinet Field Engineers collaborate closely with Project Managers and other team members to monitor compliance with codes and practices, prepare and review weekly updates, and ensure installations meet all specifications. They take an active role in QA/QC processes, from conducting site-specific training to overseeing test result submissions, thereby guaranteeing the integrity and efficiency of our fiber distribution networks.

Special Systems Field Engineers within our teams focus on coordinating installations, maintaining rigorous documentation, and ensuring the punctuality and quality of project timelines. They maintain a safe operating environment, manage access control system installations, and liaise effectively with clients and site staff. Their commitment to thorough record-keeping and problem-solving supports our mission to deliver top-tier service and solutions across Texas.
