What duties do our System Development employees do at our IES Communications' Chase City Branch?

The Director of System Development is a crucial role in overseeing all technology operations and evaluating them according to established goals. This position involves devising and establishing policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management, analyzing the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs, and providing maintenance and support for existing systems as needed. The Director of System Development also identifies the need for upgrades, configurations, or new systems and reports to upper management. This role requires building a network of peers with knowledge of our ERP solution, developing and maintaining strong relationships with key leaders across the organization, and communicating with and influencing internal and external stakeholders regarding key project objectives to ensure buy-in. Other responsibilities include analyzing performance results to identify bottlenecks and suggest optimizations, observing, evaluating, and documenting existing business processes and requirements, providing support to users and assisting with troubleshooting application & business process issues, and providing training. The Director of System Development also leads project teams, drives accountability, and delivers project success while seeking opportunities to enhance and streamline processes.
