As employees of our Dulles branch, our Technical Managers are responsible for leading, mentoring, and guiding a team of technical experts, including Field Engineers, Technicians, and other support staff to ensure cohesive teamwork and efficient project execution. They foster a collaborative and empowering work environment to maximize productivity and creativity. Our Technical Managers collaborate with Program Management to define the technical vision and strategy for the program, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement for technology processes and tools. They also effectively allocate resources across projects to optimize productivity and achieve project milestones, while keeping up to date on emerging technologies and industry trends. Additionally, they maintain project status reports for program projects, track critical project milestones, and ensure commissioning is properly completed. They also maintain a comprehensive test result management program in accordance with IES standards and the customer’s requirements, and develop a field staff training plan using IES and manufacturer training courses and certifications. They continuously develop and improve processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency, productivity, and product quality, and coordinate ongoing communication between clients, stakeholders, and other cross-functional teams to understand the requirements, communicate project progress, and to manage expectations. They also conduct regular performance evaluations for team members, providing feedback on areas of improvement, and recognizing outstanding achievements.
