In our Manassas branch, the role of a Commissioning Manager is central to ensuring that every project aligns perfectly with its blueprint. This position involves a meticulous review of contract documents and drawings, guaranteeing that installations on site meet the exact specifications, drawings, and contractual agreements. The manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing equipment and system start-ups, as well as coordinating the training for operational and local staff according to project needs. They are tasked with preparing a Lessons-Learned log, aiming for continuous improvement in the commissioning process, while also offering ongoing operations support, assessing projects, and aiding in capital planning alongside project managers. Documentation is key; thus, they ensure all commissioning deliverables are thoroughly completed. Providing technical support to project managers and reviewing monthly project Estimates to Complete (ETC) with both local and corporate finance managers are also critical responsibilities. Above all, the Commissioning Manager ensures smooth documentation and handovers, adhering strictly to IES procedures, and maintains regular meetings with IES teams to address and rectify any identified deficiencies, upholding our commitment to excellence in every project we undertake.
