The Project Cost Analyst (PCA) is responsible for planning, managing, monitoring, and maintaining project profitability. They work closely with project accounting to ensure accurate cost posting to the ledger and handle all project cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition. The PCA also participates in cost review meetings, prepares budget and financial forecasts, and researches technical accounting issues for compliance. Additionally, they collaborate with project personnel to prepare project reporting and implement process improvements. The Project Cost Analyst Manager has similar responsibilities but also oversees staff recruitment, training, and performance management. The Project Cost Supervisor (PCS) supervises 1-2 PCAs, assists in creating a job audit review process, attends Holland review meetings, and trains new PCAs. They also implement strategies to reduce underbilling, review job audits, ensure accurate notes, and work with the team on month-end closing. The PCS collaborates with project personnel, implements process improvements, and handles other assigned responsibilities.
