What will you do as a Purchasing Specialist at our IES Communications' Springfield Branch?
Our branch in Springfield is currently seeking a Purchasing Specialist who will be responsible for entering purchasing information into the accounting system, ensuring accurate GL codes and project numbers are assigned. They will also be in charge of ordering and accounting for materials used on job sites, as well as researching and resolving Invoice/PO discrepancies and coordinating returns and credit memos. Additionally, the Purchasing Specialist will assist with processing vendor returns and adjusting purchase orders as required. They will also be responsible for entering inventory, material, and labor transfers into the accounting system, self-managing their assigned workload distribution, and creating and implementing project process improvements. The Purchasing Specialist will also serve as a back-up for the front desk and perform other assigned responsibilities.
