Both positions require proficiency in basic copper termination skills, installation of work area outlets for floors, modular furniture, and walls, as well as building closets with precise adherence to IES COMMUNICATIONS labeling standards. Our technicians are adept at performing a variety of tasks including testing and troubleshooting using advanced tools like OTDR and Fluke DTX 180, splicing through both mechanical and fusion methods, and ensuring all installations meet TIA/EIA standards for multimode & single-mode fiber. The Lead Fiber Optic Technician, in addition to these responsibilities, takes charge of major project crews, ensures adherence to safety and quality guidelines, coordinates with Project Managers for efficient job completion, and provides necessary training to uphold our commitment to excellence in every project we undertake.
